Launch at Crest Fest
Bake That JoJo launched its first official bake sale at Crest Fest, an annual art show organized by Crest Hardware Store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Every year artists create artwork that incorporate hardware in shapes and forms such as a hammer made of nails or jewelry made out of nuts and chains and tools. This year the show opened with an all day festival at nearby Macri Park where music and performances filled the air, artists and vendors revealed their crafty goods and BBQ and sweets added to the festivities rippling through the scene.
Despite having spent the previous 24 hours baking my butt off I was ecstatic to be there with baked goods sprawled out on the table. It was a proud moment. My gracious sister Julie helped tend the money as I cannot be trusted with such things and we spent the day dancing and selling. Unfortunately we were caught in the rain which was saddening for sure but it was nevertheless it was a successful launch for Bake That JoJo.
So what did we have available for fellow dessert fetishizers?

Soft, plump, and delicate madeleines,

Chewy and nutty white chocolate chip, macademia nut, coconut cookies,

Slightly crunchy, mostly chewy, always sweet coconut macarons dipped in chocolate,

Cute and nutty linzer cookies,

Classic Italian rainbow cookies in all its doughy glory,

Fudgy & chocolaty walnut brownies,

Butterscotched chunky blondies,

The tartiest lemon tart,

Crumbly & gingered strawberry rhubarb pie,

And my ALL TIME favorite, nutella dolloped strawberries.
Have I got you salivating yet? Yea, if you weren’t there, you missed out. But don’t you fret I’ll be back. On June 27th Bake That JoJo will be donating sweets to benefit the India Street Mural Project at t.b.d. in Greenpoint, Brooklyn so make sure you come say hi, grab a cookie and support your local community.

Intro
Hello and welcome to Bake That JoJo!!
First off an intro is due. My name is Joann and this is a side project of mine, a baking enterprise that will function in the form of bake sales at markets, festivals, and various events. I will cater dessert for your personal and public, private and corporate events and be a vendor for your cafe. I am one person and will try to appease that evil sweet tooth to the best of my abilities. I have no intention to turn this into a business per se. I discovered baking late last year and realized it is my medium of choice when it comes to expressing and releasing both love and frustration. It’s very much a hobby, a hobby that I take very seriously but instilled with as much dance and laughter as humanly possible.
So do come back often and join me on a venture sliding down a sweet rainbow that’ll make your heart and teeth willingly decay.
